Sun screens in expanded metal

This huge exhibition building is surrounded by sunscreens in large mesh expanded metal completely covering the walls. To obtain a vertical stripe effect, the sheets are fixed with a constant angle between them. The issue for this project was ensuring that the facade could withstand the Bilbao climate, which was achieved with polyester coating on a hot dip galvanised base.

Technical characteristics

Raw material: DD11 Mild steel
Thickness: 1.5 mm
Pattern: Expanded metal LT115X40X20x1.5
Surface treatment: Hot dip galvanising + polyester coating
