Anodising
Perforated anodised aluminium sheets are used more than ever - from the aesthetical, architectural or technical point of view - and if needed RMIG can also offer to arrange the anodising of your perforated sheets, natural or coloured.
The raw aluminium surface is in itself very sensitive and susceptible to corrosion from atmospheric conditions, untreated aluminium becomes in time dull and grey, whereas an anodized surface keeps its looks for many years – practically without maintenance.
Advantages of anodising:
- Anodising improves the corrosion resistance and colourfastness of the aluminium.
- Anodising makes the surface hard and thus improves the mechanical wear qualities.
- Anodising can supply a decorative surface, e.g. by colouring.
- There will always be small marks from hanging / suspension on one side of the sheet.
- You cannot weld / process further any anodised items.
- Items cannot be larger than the vessel used for anodising.
